Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift (12-hour blocks) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. You will coordinate care with the healthcare team and educate patients and families, maintaining professional ethics and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have NJ RN License and stay compliant with the State Board.
• Behavioral health/de-escalation experience preferred.
• Strong communication and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Effectively manages rapidly changing situations.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
