Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC in Woodruff, SC is seeking an Maintenance and Automation Technician for 2026 to support highly automated production lines. You will oversee equipment modifications for process changes, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify automotive equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, ability to pass an electrical troubleshooting test, and willingness to work overtime or holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2 years automation/PLC experience.
• Or HS diploma with 4 years total experience incl. automation/PLC.
• Able to pass hands-on electrical troubleshooting test.
• Willing to work overtime and holidays.
• Able to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify manufacturing and test equipment.
• Update process documentation and ensure safe work practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Interpret ladders and electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics.
