• Understanding of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Recent ward clerk or similar clerical experience in acute hospitals.
• Skill in evaluating/ reporting emergent information for inpatient unit.
• Ability to prioritize assignments under heavy workload and time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Provide for patients' hygiene, excretory needs, and meals.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Provide clerical support to the Administrative Nurse of the unit.
