Roman Eagle Memorial Home is seeking a dependable Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, visitors, and facilities. The role involves monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies, and reporting safety concerns or equipment issues.

The position is part-time and includes night shifts, with duties across building security, lights, doors, and coordination with local authorities when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write at a basic level.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Can remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds.
• Check doors, windows, and exterior areas for security.
• Monitor exterior lighting and report deficiencies.
• Lock and unlock exterior doors per procedures.
• Respond to unauthorized individuals on the premises.
• Contact law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.
• Assist during emergencies, including fire response and evacuation.
• Operate fire extinguishers when safe.
• Escort employees to and from parking areas upon request.
• Monitor building systems and equipment for malfunctions.
• Report unusual conditions in heating, plumbing, or electrical systems.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and de-icing materials.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
