Job summary

Freshpet is hiring a Sanitation Operator for the night shift. The role focuses on disinfecting surfaces, sanitizing production equipment, and minimizing waste along the line.

Expect to work in a cold, wet environment and to participate in 12-hour shifts on a rotating 7-day schedule. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for 1 year of manufacturing and sanitation experience in food production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED are required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Food manufacturing sanitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machine parts, equipment, and other areas.
• Monitor and adjust chemical cleaning usage.
• Assist in QA Pre-Op inspections.
• Support sanitation training initiatives to production.
• Remove waste and debris.
• Assist with weekly environmental and master sanitation programs.
• Assist with machine startup/shutdown and production line equipment.
• Follow SOPs and SSOPs to ensure GMP and HACCP compliance.
• Follow safety procedures with lockout/tagout and handling cleaning chemicals.
