Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie in Erie, PA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for full-time night shifts (6:30 p.m. – 7 a.m.). Compensation is up to $40.00 per hour with a $15,000 sign-on bonus available for a limited time through 9/13.

The RT will provide respiratory care to critically ill patients and participate in ongoing quality improvement. Ideal candidates hold NBRC CRT or RRT, BLS, and current licensure; ACLS is required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
