Job summary

Second Nature Brands in Madison Heights, Michigan, is seeking a Roasting Operator to join the supply chain team during a growth phase. You will roast various nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews) to meet production targets, with regular hours Monday–Friday, 11:00pm–7:00am and overtime as needed.

Starting pay is $16 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Basic math and calculator skills for production calculations.
• English language proficiency.
• Ability to work with peers and supervisors in a team environment.
• Experience operating Hi-Lo truck is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Roast multiple kinds of nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews, etc.) to specification.
• Ensure food safety by inspecting materials and removing non-conforming items.
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures for oil usage on roasting machines.
• Record inventory and production data accurately.
• Assist blending operators by loading/unloading materials with Hi-Lo.
• Clean and sanitize roasting equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow GMP, QFS, and OSHA safety policies.
• Hit performance targets with team lead/supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
