Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, Missouri, is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift.

You will provide comprehensive respiratory care, assess and monitor patients, administer therapies and medications per physician orders, manage oxygen and airway support, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and educate patients and families. Missouri licensure and NBRC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Missouri license required.
• NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Graduate of accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders.
• Administer respiratory treatments, therapies, and medications per physician orders.
• Manage oxygen therapy and airway support interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient response and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions and care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to safety standards.
• Support emergency respiratory care and critical interventions when required.
