Job summary

Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, CA, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver respiratory care, diagnostic testing, and patient education for patients from newborn to geriatric. The role supports department operations and coordinates with the Cardiopulmonary leadership.

Required licenses and certifications include RCP, BCLS, PALS within 3 months, ACLS upon hire, and NRP by 2026-04-01, plus clinical expertise and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (ARC or AHA) certificate within 3 months from date of hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP certificate required upon hire and maintain current by 2026-04-01.
• English fluency (written and spoken).
• Experience: competent in care for newborn to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Promotes healing of acutely ill patients with cardiac or pulmonary issues through respiratory care, diagnostic testing, patient education.
• Assists daily operations of the Cardiopulmonary Department and handles routine issues with Manager/Medical Director as needed.
