Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, seeks a Respiratory Therapist (Airway Management) to support our patient care team. The RT will actively manage the airway during ECT treatments and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the department.

Responsibilities include airway assessment, documentation, effective communication, and professional development to maintain clinical competency.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of Respiratory Care.
• Active CT license as Respiratory Care Practitioner; NBRC Registration required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide airway management and assess airway status.
• Document services and changes in patient status.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and team.
• Give and receive patient reports for safe handoffs.
• Maintain clinical competency through continuing education.
