Responsibilities

• Initiates and conducts respiratory tests and procedures per orders for safe patient care.
• Responds to respiratory emergencies and transports mechanically ventilated patients between units.
• Develops respiratory care plans and recommends therapies to physicians; schedules treatments.
• Manages all aspects of respiratory therapy per policies and procedures.
• Conducts bedside rounds and mentors students and staff on respiratory care.
