Job summary

Railserve is hiring dependable Rail Switching Technicians in Enderlin, ND to support daily rail switching operations within an industrial rail environment. This full-time, hands-on role involves safe movement, placement, and switching of railcars to support customer operations and schedules.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts in a rotating schedule, outdoors in varying weather. Medical and retirement benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate locomotives and rail equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform railcar switching and placement according to schedules.
• Interpret train orders, signals, and procedures.
• Inspect locomotives prior to operation and maintain equipment.
• Use switches, brakes, and hand signals to move railcars.
• Complete reports related to accidents, delays, or activity.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
