Job summary

Night shift (4 PM-12 AM) with alternating weekends/holidays; on-call may be required. Requires ARRT registration, NY DOH licensure, BLS, and hospital-based radiography training.

Imaging quality, radiation safety, and patient care standards guide daily duties in a busy Diagnostic Radiology department.

Qualifications

• High School and formal radiography training completed.
• ARRT registered and state licensure required on hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interruption-heavy environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and some special radiographic procedures.
• Prepare patients and position them for exams.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure image quality.
• Assist radiologists during procedures and provide safety protocols.
• Process images and manage documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Maintain department cleanliness and supply levels.
• On-call coverage as needed; adhere to standards of care.
