Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a diligent cleaning and facilities associate at our City of Industry, CA location. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in warehouse and office areas, with duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom service, and equipment cleaning.

You will handle cleaning solutions, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure safety and security after hours. The position pays $21.00 per hour with a Sunday to Thursday shift from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in cleaning or maintenance is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Rider Jack certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash; consolidate trash for weekly pickup.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean walls, racks and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions per specs.
• Use commercial cleaning equipment to clean and restore building interiors.
• Clean surfaces with solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Monitor building security by locking doors after hours.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies with or without hand trucks.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas; spread snow melting chemicals.
• Set up decorations, tables, chairs, ladders for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Must be experienced or able to get certified in operating a Rider Jack.

• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Must be experienced or able to get certified in operating a Rider Jack.

Pay rate is $21.00/hr

Schedule is Sunday to Thursday - 6:00 PM - 2:30AM (Overtime as needed)

About You

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
