Job summary

Halifax Health's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit seeks a Night Charge Registered Nurse to supervise and lead the nursing team during the shift, ensuring safe, compassionate and efficient patient care.

You will oversee staffing, assign tasks, participate in hourly rounding, and act as on-the-ground leader to address day-to-day operational and clinical issues in accordance with ANA standards and Florida Board requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or eligible for RN licensure in Florida.
• Bachelor's Degree (BSN) or enrolled in BSN program.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience.
• One year of previous charge experience required.
• Specialty certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.).
• Experience with the Meditech program preferred.
• Professional interpersonal communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to the nursing unit for the shift.
• Complete staffing and nursing assignments for current and upcoming shifts.
• Participate in hourly rounding and ensure compliance.
• Act as on-the-ground leader to address day-to-day issues.
• Ensure services are provided per ANA Scope and Florida Board standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
