Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves collecting blood specimens, labeling accurately, and ensuring timely delivery to the lab. The position requires California phlebotomy licensure and at least 1 year of acute care experience is preferred.

The shift is 10:00PM–6:30AM, with opportunities to contribute to quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy licensure in the State of California required.

Responsabilidades

• Collect accurate blood specimens by venipuncture or capillary puncture following policies.
• Identify patient protocols, collect and label specimens accurately.
• Review outstanding specimen reports during shift to identify uncollected tests and take action.
• Process outpatients accurately and provide collection instructions and supplies.
• Deliver specimens to the appropriate laboratory section promptly.
• Process all orders in accordance with turnaround time policies.
• Document and communicate unclear or discrepant orders to Supervisor/Director.
• Perform clerical tasks using the laboratory computer system.
• Maintain phlebotomy and meal/break logs.
• Know and apply criteria for specimen rejection.
