Job summary

New Weds Foods in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Manufacturing - Third Shift packaging associate to support customer orders by stacking product at the end of packaging lines and rotating to other pack-line positions as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of packaging experience in a food manufacturing environment. It also requires operating a standup forklift and load-moving systems, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and heavier loads with assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklift operation and load handling.

Responsibilities

• Verifies product being bagged against labels printed.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed.
• Affixes labels to bags and stacks them onto pallet while maintaining packaging standards.
• Continuous pulling / lifting and carrying of bags weighing up to 55 lbs.
• Assist in bagging of product; pushing/pulling up to 55+ lbs; maintain packaging standards.
• Assist in dumping of product; push/pull up to 100+ lbs.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Maintain integrity of product.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keep area and equipment clean; follow LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor; follow good manufacturing practices and safety rules.
