Job summary

ACME CONSTRUCTION SUPPLY is hiring a Night Owl Delivery Driver in Beaverton, OR. This role involves safe and timely delivery of products to job sites at night, while executing the Company’s Night Owl Delivery Service.

Candidates must have at least one year of driving experience, be 21 years or older, and ideally have forklift operation experience. The job includes loading products and ensuring they are delivered efficiently and accurately.

The position offers an hourly salary of $22.00 - $25.00, with a potential monthly incentive bonus after 90 days. Shift hours are Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Summary

The Night Owl Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for safe and timely delivery of product to job sites at night, executing the Companys Night Owl Delivery Service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate Company vehicle safely and courteously while following the rules of the road.
• Verify the daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and report any problems with the vehicle to the Warehouse Manager.
• Interior of the trucks must be kept clean, organized, and safely maintained.
• Comply with all DOT requirements and company policy regarding safety and compliance.
• Pre-plan deliveries and routes to ensure maximum efficiency and timing deadlines.
• Manifest jobs in the sequence of order delivery to ensure prompt notifications to our customers.
• Compare paperwork with product on truck to ensure accuracy of orders.
• Inspect and secure all loads on truck.
• Responsible for loading product (using both a forklift and hand loading) onto trucks, including items such as boxes, ladders, strut, etc.
• Hand unloading and delivering products/orders to specified job sites as part of a multi-stop route.
• Product placed into secured job boxes at job sites.
• Taking pictures of deliveries made using Innovo phone app.
• Locking (securing) job boxes once delivery is complete.
• Make note of any discrepancies and report them to the Warehouse Manager as soon as possible.
• Responsible for promptly picking up any return product (as needed) and ensuring that the product is delivered to the appropriate department for processing.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one-year experience in a driving position is preferred.
• Experience with forklift and ability to maintain forklift certification.
• Eligible driving record per the Companys Safety Rating Program and the ability to drive a range of vehicles, from small pick-up truck to 2‑ton/5‑speed flatbed diesel truck.
• Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements.

• Understanding of safe warehouse and job site practices.
• Self‑disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.

Physical Requirements

• The employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel a computer mouse or other computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects; stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• May be required to move or traverse considerable distances in the facility during the course of a workday.
• Must have the physical abilities to perform essential warehouse tasks.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to a height of 3‑4 feet and load product into trucks.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
• Ability to ascend/descend a ladder to pull or put away product from shelving and racking.
• Ability to safely operate a dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift in loading and unloading product.
