Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in Sand City, CA, is seeking a Night Head Clerk for the Lucky store location. You will supervise the night crew, organize stocking workflows, maintain inventory accuracy and cleanliness, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities include training personnel, organizing backroom stock, and assisting customers as needed; the role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 6 months of related experience, with some overnight shifts and weekend work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of related experience.
• Overnight shift; weekends/holidays may be required; hours vary.
• PLE certification on all store equipment.
• Friendly, courteous, and able to stay composed with customers and coworkers.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise night crew activities and training per policies.
• Organize workflows for stocking and product staging.
• Maintain product quality, rotate stock, and handle unsaleable items.
• Keep grocery areas orderly and in-stock; manage shrink and damage.
• Ensure safe and sanitary work environment; display signage appropriately.
• Audit contents and reports; follow merchandising policies.
• Handle customer and vendor relations professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
