Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking an entry-level Neurodiagnostic Assistant to support EEG procedures in the Neurology department on the Burnet Campus. You will hook patients to EEG equipment, perform acquisitions, and document results under supervision.

The role emphasizes patient safety, equipment maintenance, and ongoing credentialing, with initial day-shift training during a 6-month onboarding period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Completion of departmental training program and Core Curriculum by ASET within 18 months.
• Must obtain BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• Must obtain ABRET credentialing for R EEG T within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic evaluations: hook patient to EEG and start study, ensure network access.
• Neurodiagnostic testing procedures and ongoing education; maintain patient safety.
• Lab and equipment maintenance; keep areas safe and organized.
• EEG acquisition: apply/remove electrodes; explain procedures; record patient history.
• Documentation and data management: enter data; use Epic and Natus; EEG events.
