Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, and maintain imaging quality. You will educate patients on procedures, monitor contrast use, and ensure safety protocols are followed throughout exams.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication with diverse patients, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with rotating shifts. Night/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MRI procedures and safety protocols.
• Experience with radiologic imaging and MRI training.
• Excellent communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Educates patients about MRI procedures and safety.
• Positions patients and ensures high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per safety guidelines.
• Performs daily QC checks and documents in EMR/PACS.
• Follows protocols for patient identification and consent.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, adapting protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
