Job summary

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician (MHT) Nights to join our team. You will work directly with patients experiencing behavioral health challenges, helping to ensure their safety and support their treatment plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment, conducting safety checks, assisting with daily living activities, and coordinating with nursing staff on care plans to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for patient interaction.
• Experience in behavioral health is preferred but not required.
• Ability to observe and document patient behavior accurately.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and supervision in a behavioral health setting
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment at all times
• Conduct routine patient safety checks and observations
• Support patients with daily living activities as appropriate
• Respond appropriately to situations and behavioral escalations
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care plans.
