Job summary

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital in Panama City, FL is hiring a Mental Health Technician (MHT/CNA) for night shifts. The role works under supervision to care for patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions and to support education and activities.

The incumbent will observe patients, take vitals, document findings, and assist with ADLs, milieu management, and safety. EKG/Phlebotomy may be performed after training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field is preferred.
• One year of customer service experience is required; experience in direct patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients to detect behavior patterns and report observations.
• Record measurements of patients' vital signs and report abnormal values.
• Facilitate patient education and activity groups and assist with ADLs.
• Maintain milieu safety and de-escalation techniques.
• Perform EKGs and phlebotomy based on training.
