Job summary

Gulfport Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join the nursing treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients from children through geriatrics, under a Registered Nurse. Shifts are 8 hours; 3:00 p.m.

– 11:00 p.m., and Thursday–Saturday nights 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, relevant experience, CPR and CPI training, and a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of related experience in psychiatric patient care preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and supervision as part of the nursing treatment team.
• Interact with patients across age groups from children to geriatrics.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
