Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a Materials Handler for the Nights shift (Fridays and Saturdays 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), 0.4 FTE. Responsibilities include stocking and delivering supplies, assembling orders, and maintaining the storeroom inventory.

The role requires a High School diploma, basic computer skills on Windows, and the ability to multitask and communicate effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Weekend work is required; on-site position with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• Experience in warehouse or materials handling preferred.
• Proficient with Windows PCs and inventory systems.
• Good communication and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to process changes.

Responsibilities

• Inventorying and stocking supply carts.
• Assembling and delivering orders for supplies and equipment.
• Completing documentation for issuing or crediting supplies.
• Putting supplies away in Storeroom.
• Picking up soiled linen and patient care equipment.
• Sorting and delivering mail.
• Assisting end users of the Materials Management system.
• Regular and predictable attendance for other duties.
