Job summary
Bay Area Community Services (BACS) is actively looking for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) and Licensed Psychiatric Technicians (LPT) for full-time roles at our community behavioral health programs in Oakland. Successful candidates will be part of a mental health care team, engaging with homeless individuals and assisting in medical case management.
The role involves responsibilities such as administering medications, triaging participants, and documenting treatment interactions. Candidates must hold a California license and possess strong flexibility and creativity in their approach to care.
Qualifications
- Must have LVN or LPT certification from an accredited nursing school.
- Demonstrated background and experience in mental health.
- Valid California driver's license and personal vehicle required.
Responsibilities
- Triage participants at intake/assessment and throughout respite stay.
- Administer psychotropic medication injections and coordinate with the treatment team.
- Document all participants' treatment and interactions accurately.
