The Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Nursing Geriatrics and Extended Care service in the Community Living Center, Night Shift, located in Los Angeles, CA. Applicants must have completed a practical/vocational nursing program, hold a valid LPN license, be a U.S.

citizen, and proficient in English. Duties include a full range of nursing care, wound/catheter care, medication administration, and collaboration with the care

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program approved by the State accrediting agency.
• LPN license active and unrestricted in the United States.
• US citizenship and English language proficiency required.
• GS-3 to GS-6 experience levels described in the job posting.

Responsabilités

• Provide full range of nursing care to Veterans in the Community Living Center.
• Wound care and catheter care as needed.
• Enteral feeding administration and oxygen therapy within LVN scope.
• Document in CPRS and BCMA per policy; ensure timely, accurate records.
• Collaborate with RN/MD and interdisciplinary team for care plans.
• Shift: Night shift 7:30pm–8:00am; may include weekends/holidays.
• Support safety, infection control, and staff mentorship.
