Job summary

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) seeks a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) for a part-time night-shift role in a fast-paced behavioral health unit. The LVN must be IV therapy and blood withdrawal certified in California and work under RN supervision to deliver age-appropriate care per the care plan.

Candidates should have a vocational nursing degree and at least one year of LVN experience; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a school of Vocational Nursing.
• Minimum of one year LVN experience required.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and English proficiency; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide LVN care under RN supervision in a behavioral health unit.
• Perform IV therapy and blood withdrawal as certified.
• Document patient data in electronic medical records and communicate progress to the team.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education; ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
