Job summary

US Foods® in Florida is seeking a Night Loader to load and secure deliveries in designated trailers, following procedures to ensure safety and efficiency. This role supports daily dispatches and ensures orders are accurate and damage-free.

Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:45 PM start; overtime and incentive opportunities may apply. Requires a high school diploma, strong physical endurance, and ability to work in cold environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must pass safety checks and training.
• Experience in multi-temperature warehouses preferred.
• Read alpha-numeric codes from load sheets.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures including freezer (-5 F).

Responsibilities

• Load products on designated trailers and secure them.

BASIC PURPOSE:

To load all the outbound orders into the designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards. This makes sure the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day’s deliveries.

Main Ingredients of the Job!

As a US FOODS® Night Loader , you will be responsible for loading products on designated trailers and properly securing products in trailers. Strength, endurance, and the ability to meet weekly standards for loading productivity and accuracy while working in a safe manner. US FOODS® delivers exact and damage-free orders. Schedule : Sunday through Thursday, 3:45 PM until all loads are loaded

What you bring to the table

Education/Training :

• High School Diploma/ required

Related Experience/Requirements:

• Performes all pre-shift duties including safety check of all equipment.
• Works in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
• Performs various shift duties that could include trailer cleanliness, before loading to ensure the trailer is clean, has the proper temperature, and is ready for loading
• Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.
• Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated products before loading.
• Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted
• Must satisfactorily complete all company-mandated training and assessments.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :

• Strength, endurance, and the ability to work in extreme temperature conditions are required to perform the job safely and successfully.
• Normal warehouse environments as well as cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
• Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from load sheets.
• One-year recent experience in highly physical, labor-intensive occupation preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.

The expected base rate for this role is $25.37 per hour.

As applicable, this role may also receive the following: overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, and Freezer premium.
