Job summary

Mercy Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) is part of the provider care team, supporting reports, data and scheduling functions for the laboratory. The LST II ensures accurate, timely lab support while upholding Mercy Signature Service Standards and HIPAA confidentiality in every customer interaction.

Shift: 1:00am–6:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months phlebotomy or clinical lab experience, or completion of a clinical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months phlebotomy or clinical lab experience or successful completion of a clinical training program.
• Must satisfactorily complete facility competencies for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Support reports, data and scheduling functions for the laboratory.
• Acquire specimens as required for laboratory testing.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow lab policies; provide excellent customer service.
