Job summary

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a custodian/janitor to prepare spaces for the next day, clean and sanitize restrooms, and help with minor repairs and security after hours. The role requires attention to detail and physical fitness, with a preference for a high school diploma.

The successful candidate will maintain office spaces, ensure cleanliness, and support general custodial duties as part of a facilities team, with the ability to handle routine tasks and report issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as custodian/janitor or similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman tasks.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Very good physical condition and strength.
• High school diploma is preferred but not required.

• Prepare spaces for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap).
• Detail bathrooms and office spaces.
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Report major damages and oversee repairs.
• Secure facilities after hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting the alarm.
• Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks.
