Job summary

The Registered Nurse at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in the ICU setting, collaborating with physicians and the care team to meet the department's standards. You will apply established nursing models to assess, perform, teach, and manage patient care across shift changes.

We seek an RN with ICU/PCU experience, an associate degree, and active licensure, plus ACLS/BLS within required timelines.

Qualifications

• RN license required; ACLS and BLS must be obtained within specified timelines.
• ICU or PCU experience required.
• Full-time night shift in ICU position.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient condition, status, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures.
