Eskenazi Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist for PRN night shifts at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, IN. The physician will manage acutely ill inpatients, provide teaching and leadership, and support surgical and specialty services during inpatient rotations.

The role requires an MD/DO, active Indiana medical license, DEA number, and completion of Internal Medicine residency with BE/BC status. Collaboration with residents and other physicians is essential.

Qualificações

• MD/DO with Medical Staff privileges at Eskenazi Health.
• Active Indiana medical license to practice.
• Active DEA number.
• Residency in Internal Medicine or equivalent training; BE/BC.

Responsabilidades

• Provide assessment, diagnostic determination, and ongoing clinical management of acutely ill hospitalized patients.
• Coordinate care with residents, trainees, and other physicians; ensure timely documentation and discharge planning.
• Perform bedside rounds and attendings notes; supervise and review resident notes for format and accuracy.
• Ensure cross-coverage to allow educational sessions and effective handoffs to on-service physicians.
• Communicate with patients’ families to explain status and care plans; maintain patient- and family-centered care.
