Job summary

Bodycote in Fountain Inn, SC is seeking a Heat Treating Technician. This role will perform essential heat treatment operations under the supervision of the Production Manager, with levels based on experience. Opportunities exist for Level C (entry) through Level A (senior) with growth into leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

The position requires full-time, 40+ hours per week, and is safety-sensitive. Night shifts may apply, and a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Care and treatment of customer inventory, performed safely to prevent loss or damage.
• Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with coworkers.
