Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Security Officer to provide security services, conduct electronic surveillance, and perform routine rounds to protect patients, staff and visitors. You will enforce policies and contribute to a safe environment of care while collaborating with the Environment of Care committee.

Nights shift, full-time employment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a state driver’s license, and a driving history check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Experience in healthcare security or related field preferred.
• State Driver’s license upon hire.
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report.

Responsibilities

• Performs security services including electronic surveillance and security officers' rounds.
• Coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors.
• Enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement.
• Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care.
• Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety.
• Participates in employee awareness and education.
• Drives as needed for company business.
