Job summary

Meijer in Bowling Green, OH is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep our store shelves stocked and ready for customers. You will move products from pallets and carts to the correct shelves, helping maintain efficient floor operations and a clean, organized backroom.

You will work with leadership to complete areas on time and ensure a great shopping experience for guests. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with overnight shifts to prep the store

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning basic technology and using store systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Available for overnight shifts and teamwork in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of groceries and products.
• Move items from pallets/carts to correct shelf locations efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in backroom areas.
• Work closely with leadership to complete assigned areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers as needed.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your workensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
