Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Rochelle, Illinois for the second shift. Earn $20.50 per hour plus $0.75 per hour night differential, with a typical 10.5 hour shift from 5:30 pm to 4:00 am, Monday through Friday and weekends off unless required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Must be punctual with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow contract performance guidelines and safety standards.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading.
• Manage day-to-day paperwork in warehouse operations (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
