Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America, located at 8313 Triad Dr, Greensboro, NC, is hiring for a night shift forklift operator. The role supports production by moving materials, operating wrapping equipment, and keeping inventory organized.

The position offers a $20 per hour base rate plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential, with benefits and 2 weeks paid vacation. Starting salary is complemented by annual bonuses based on plant performance, and enrollment in medical, dental, vision, and 401k

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months’ forklift experience.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and heavy forklift traffic.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PCA forklift license.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Keep stock and materials in orderly fashion.
• Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
• Pull jobs for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.
• Assist other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance workload and maintain warehouse organization.
• Follow safety rules and report any forklift defects or missing parts to supervisor or maintenance.
• Be alert to any obvious defects of incoming material.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
