Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Deputy Fire Safety Director in New York to oversee fire safety operations for a mid-sized property. You will manage the Fire Alarm System, incident reporting, and coordination with Life Safety and Security teams.

The role requires FDNY F89 license, strong organizational skills, and the ability to train wardens and conduct building drills. Schedule includes nighttime hours, with rotation and on-site responsibilities at the property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
• FDNY F89 Fire and Safety Director License is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Fire Alarm System and Fire Command Center; file and distribute incident reports.
• Review daily fire prevention logs and maintain NYC code compliance.
• Train Fire Wardens and Building Fire Brigade; schedule drills and evacuation procedures.
• Test Fire Alarm System components per code and company policy; perform inspections.
• Monitor Access Control, CCTV, and intercom; respond to security events and alarms.
• Provide information to Fire Department during emergencies and inspections.
