Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens assignment in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The role features overnight, 12-hour shifts and a 12-week duration to cover high-volume ED demand.

The position requires ABEM certification, Virginia license eligibility, and ATLS/ACLS/PALS. Expect a fast-paced environment with ~100 visits per day and strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• ABEM board certification is required.
• Active Virginia medical license or eligibility.
• ATLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Strong clinical judgment for fast-paced ED work.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care during overnight shifts.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and stabilize patients with urgent and emergent conditions.
• Work efficiently in a high-volume ED while maintaining patient flow.
• Collaborate with nurses, support staff and consultants in care coordination.
• Document encounters thoroughly in the medical record.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate interventions.
