Job summary

Right at Home in Amherst, Ohio is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time night shifts (6p-9a) on Tue, Thu, Fri. You will provide direct care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will assist with activities of daily living, medications, documentation, and community activities, while promoting independence and respecting personal choice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by law and regulation.
• Ability to complete required training and basic computer/d documentation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supports based on ISPs.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, grooming, toileting, meals.
• Administer medications and document accordingly.
• Support community integration, appointments, employment, and activities.
• Teach daily living, social, and communication skills.
• Maintain health, safety, and rights of individuals.
• Document accurately daily notes and records.
• Implement behavior support and crisis intervention as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Transport individuals as required.
• Report incidents and concerns per rules.
