Job summary

Southeast Health in Dothan, AL seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will prepare patients, operate CT equipment, administer contrast, and produce clear images for radiologist review.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB registration, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years CT experience, with emphasis on ALARA, documentation, and teamwork with physicians.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB registry within 12 months of hire
• ACLS certification is required
• BLS certification required
• Undergraduate degree completed

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT procedures and ensure safety
• Position patients to optimize imaging and minimize exposure
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Acquire high-quality images according to physician protocols
• Review images for diagnostic quality before radiologist submission
• Maintain radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles
• Document procedures accurately in medical records
• Coordinate with radiologists and healthcare team
• Respond to emergencies during scanning
• Follow HIPAA and hospital policies
• Engage in ongoing training and quality control
• Provide compassionate patient care and privacy
• Adhere to Six Ground Rules and organizational priorities
