Shaw’s and Star Market in Merrimack, NH (operated by Albertsons Companies Inc.) is looking for a Stocker to keep shelves filled and the store ready for customers. You'll stock during the day, assist shoppers on the floor, and help locate items with speed and accuracy.

Overnight shifts focus on deliveries, backroom organization, and resetting displays, while daytime work emphasizes customer service and clean, well‑stocked aisles; this is a physically demanding, fast‑paced role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and balers following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including daytime, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

A Day In The Life

As a Stocker, your day is centered around keeping shelves filled and the store ready for customers. During daytime hours, you’ll work on the floor stocking products, organizing shelves, and assisting customers with questions or locating items. For overnight shifts, the focus shifts to preparing the store for the next day; working through deliveries, stocking shelves, and resetting displays without customer traffic. Another part of the role is maintaining organization behind the scenes. You’ll move products from the backroom to the sales floor, rotate inventory, and keep aisles clear and easy to shop. Between handling freight, restocking shelves, and keeping work areas clean, the work stays steady making it a good fit for someone who enjoys physical tasks and a fast‑paced environment.

What You Bring To The Table

• Customer Interaction Skills: Clear communication when assisting customers on the sales floor
• Stocking & Merchandising: Placing product accurately on shelves and maintaining display standards
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with store layout, product locations, and pricing
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in stocking, rotation, labeling, and removing outdated products
• Organization & Time Management: Managing workload efficiently while maintaining clean, organized areas
• Equipment Use: Operating pallet jacks, box cutters, and store equipment following safety guidelines
• Inventory Awareness: Monitoring stock levels and maintaining backroom organization
• Operational Awareness: Following company policies, safety procedures, and stocking processes
• Adaptability: Comfort working varied shifts, including day, evening, or overnight schedules
• Physical Capability: Comfort with frequent lifting, carrying, and movement, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
