Albertsons Companies is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead the Grocery Department daily operations, drive sales, and maintain in-stock conditions, pricing accuracy, and strong merchandising standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop associates, deliver excellent customer service, manage inventory, planograms, and promotions while ensuring food safety and departmental profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a grocery department or similar retail leadership role.
• Strong customer-service focus and team leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness.
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards.
• Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising.
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization.
• Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment.
