Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. seeks a Night Team Leader to oversee the Overnight Team across departments including Center Store, Prepared Foods, Produce, Bakery and Meat. You will model professional behavior, uphold standards, and coach team members with respectful, inclusive leadership.

You will manage department records, schedules, inventory, and safety while striving to deliver guest service excellence and drive operational performance around the clock.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in store operations and guest service.

Responsibilities

• interview, select and train Team Members;
• direct the work of Team Members;
• appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes;
• handle Team Member issues including complaints;
• discipline Team Members;
• plan the work;
• distribute or assign the work among Team Members;
• provide for safety and security of Team Members or the store;
• manage the budget for your department or location;
• manage inventory for your department or location;
• monitor or implement compliance measures;
• oversee training provided to department Team Members to reduce turnover and control labor costs;
• provide motivational leadership to an amazing team by focusing on respect and by setting an exemplary example;
• identify strengths and opportunities of the team and schedule strategically;
• develop future leaders and promote a diverse environment;
• maintain safety as the top priority for Team Members, guests and products;
• inspire the team and guests with passion for food and service excellence;
• establish ongoing communication to keep Team Members informed and prepared.
