Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a NIGHT COOK for UF Health Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. The full-time position runs Sunday through Tuesday, from 4:00 pm to 3:00 am, and requires prior cooking experience.

You will prepare food to established standards, ensure meals are served at the correct temperature, maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist in ordering and inventory, and support production planning.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production schedules.
• Serves meals and prepares for delivery with correct portions and temperatures.
• Uses established ticket procedures during service and maintains records from area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
