Job summary

Centurion Health is hiring a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant for Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, IL. The Night shift involves direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under nursing and psychiatric supervision.

Requirements include high school diploma, CNA certification, CPR/BLS, and ability to obtain security clearance. Prior correctional or acute care experience is preferred; Maryland CNA licensure is noted in eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• CNA licensure in Maryland required.
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse's aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in CPR/BLS.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals.
• Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.
