Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Medication Assistant for Prairie Creek Assisted Living in Sioux Falls, SD. Night shifts (6:00 pm–6:30 am), full-time, 36 hours weekly, with a 12-hour shift pattern and every-other-weekend/holiday rotation.

The MA provides resident-centered nursing care, administers medications under a licensed nurse, documents outcomes, and assists with daily living activities and mobility, while engaging in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• State-required CMA/CNA certification completed and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications under nurse supervision.
• Document care outcomes, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary information.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion and mobility.
• Support dining, meals and daily living activities; ensure a positive dining experience.

Education
