Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX, is seeking a Clinical Team Leader (RN) to perform direct patient care as the charge nurse and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. You will lead the unit on the night shift (12X3) from 7p to 7a, coordinating staffing and patient flow to meet care standards.

Requirements include a BSN, TX RN license (or compact), completion of charge nurse training within 90 days if external, and relevant certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP).

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Charge nurse training and competencies must be completed within 90 days if external hire.
• Current US RN license in TX or compact license.
• Clinical course certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP etc.) per RN area.
• Advanced specialty certification or plan to obtain within 2 years (CCRN/CEN/RNC).

Responsibilities

• Provides front line leadership and decision-making for departmental staff and ensures quality care.
• Develops staffing plans based on patient acuity and oversees day-to-day operations on the designated shift.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to support unit fiscal goals.
• Coordinates patient flow and timeliness of admissions and discharges.
• Assists manager in achieving department objectives including patient experience and quality measures.
• Participates in process improvements and department initiatives.
• Supports peer interviews and feedback for evaluations; assists with investigations.
• Other duties as assigned.
