Job summary

Kuna Meat Co Group is seeking a driver in Dupo, IL to operate tractor/trailer in compliance with DOT rules and Kuna safety policies. You will deliver to customers, scan orders, verify product placement, and assist with returns as needed.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with Medical Card, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in varied temperatures. Overtime may be required; benefits are provided.

• Location: Dupo, IL 62239
• Salary Range: $28.00 - $39.00 per hour
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
• Department: Transportation
• Reports To: Transportation Supervisor

Essential Functions

• Operates tractor/trailer conforming to all state and federal DOT requirements
• Follows all Kuna safety policies regarding safe driving
• Makes deliveries to customers
• Scans customer cases to ensure correct delivery of items
• Verifies all products are put in designated locations
• Picks up customer returns, as necessary
• Completes pre‑trip inspections
• Collects payments from customers, as necessary
• Completes pre‑trip and post‑trip DVIR
• Attends all required company meetings
• Adheres to all safety practices and company policies

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid Class A CDL License and Medical Card
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to be certified on all equipment used on shift by Kuna Foodservice
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Must have sufficient reasoning capabilities to solve practical problems (e.g., determine if a product is commercially acceptable or matches the customer order)
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures (from -10 to 55+ degrees Fahrenheit)
• Must be able to work overtime, as required
• Other duties as assigned
